If anyone fancies having a go at one I’ll give you a set of decals for it, finished and ready to stick on. These are laser printed on clear vinyl and then stuck on mirror finish gold vinyl. Just like the originals.

Re: OS Pixie
Ron,
This indeed is a brilliant result as are the earlier examples you showed us.
Can you give us links to sources of these materials?
I haven't seen anything in the shops here (across the North Sea), so likely it will turn into an online order.
And as I must have overlooked it, is this a laser printer job?
Bruno

Re: OS Pixie
Hi Bruno
Thanks for the comments.
I use these from eBay.
Gold vinyl wrap
Clear laser vinyl(I’ve tried others and this is the best)
Yes you’ll need a laser printer to get a sharp print. You can use inkjet but you’ll need inkjet clear vinyl instead of laser but I don’t think the results will be as good.

Re: OS Pixie
My O.S. Pixie replica is ready now. It is not as perfect as Ron´s but for my skills it is quite ok. I installed an Orange 2.4G module and an Attin85 as encoder with a special sketch I also use in my Telepilot and Babcock replica. It is a S/C setup with compound or sequential mode (if the master-button is pressed on startup, it´s sequential mode, if not, it´s compound mode).
By using the Attiny, I did not have any space problems to get everything in the enclosure.
The small black button on the left side is the motor control button (off, half, full, half, off....). That works great, weather you are flying sequential or compound.
The small red button on the left is the bind button with the Led below.
Other features are low voltage alert, inactivity alert and kick up elevator. Cheers
Frank

Frank
That’s great. Nice job.
Where do you get the 15mm center slide switches from?
I’m building another pixie special edition and it’s the only thing I can’t find.
650ma battery should last forever in that
Are you doing an RX too?

Re: OS Pixie
Thanks Ron,
the slide switches are from Reichelt Elektronik, a german mail order company:
https://www.reichelt.de/T-215/3/index.h ... ICLE=19975
If you can´t get them, I could add some for you to my next order and forward them to you. It´s only about €3,50 incl. postage for 10 switches.
I have a receiver as well, but only the cheap version, which is not even close to yours regarding the print quality. Only the big letters show up after print.
My next project will be another Engel Uniphon Handy transmitter on 35MHz and the finish of my Tomboy.

That’s brilliant Frank
I’ve managed to order some, thanks for the link. I changed the default to UK and it’s a great company and very reasonable too. Also got some battery connectors.
Just waiting on 3D case now.

Re: OS Pixie
Thanks Frank
My switches arrived yesterday. Very good value.
So I ordered plenty of them if any one is stuck for one let me know.
It’s a great company that frank, they even sent me a catalogue even though it’s in German I can make out the order codes and prices. Quick delivery by DHL to UK.
