As its just a simple 4 channel set, I opted for the DigiSpark encoder with 4 channels, S/C mix, V-tail etc.
This time I used the 'bargain' £32 OrangeRx RF module (I dont so much mind HM Customs & Excise adding £4 VAT, but when the Post Office charges you £8 for the privilege of picking it up yourself....
Anywho, its come out reasonably well, though I used all the original pot wiring which is generally a bad idea, in hindsight I wish I'd wired it afresh like the Digi Ace.
The replacement encoder is the bit with the green LED in a transparent plastic bubble, with reversing, S/C emulation mix, V-tail mix, and an inactivity warning.
The PP3 is just for bench testing - I'll find a 2S lipo for it or use a LIDL battery.
A few pix: (Note my shed floor - anything you drop becomes invisible and is lost forever...)
Oh almost forgot to say - 50 years on it still worked perfectly on 27mhz...
Still to do - wire up the meter and use the DIN socket for balance-charging.
