Managed to sew the piano undercarriage to the fuselage former using electrical wire

I only ever used everyday cotton thread.
Coat with a bit of epoxy, never failed.
Procedure was to draw around both sides of the piano wire on it's backboard, drill small holes maybe 10-15mm apart on both sides of the lines, sew up, epoxy, forget.
In those days, if using on r/c, one had to be careful as any "wire" that came within cooee of the receiver antenna could stuff up the range.

I used to use the cotton and glue method but found it much easier and very neat to use small tie wraps. Drill a series of 2 holes, 1 either side of the wire and loop a tie wrap through and pull tight. It’s also very strong,
It works and looks perfect.
