Nice job on the Sr. Falcon Drigotti, great color scheme too!
They fly extremely well in most conditions so your first flights should go well.
Maybe pop into the Toledo show this April and find a two stroke cylinder head for it!
First flight on the reed tx as a buddy box on Sunday the 11th with the scratch built Sr. Falcon. Only had time for 1 flight. Controls were way to sensitive so I'll make some ATV adjustments and servo speed ones before our next flying session! Good thing it was a buddy box setup!
I'll have more when we fly it next time.
After making "throw" adjustments in the reed tx I made another flight this last Friday (Aug 30) via my buddy box setup. MUCH better results! I flew most of the 7 minute flight with only the take off, landing, and 2 "saves" from my helper Chris A. A few more sessions on the buddy box and I think I'll try the reed tx all by itself. That's me on the transmitters side.....

Hope your Sr Falcon is flying well with your Reeds conversion.
Your posting has inspired me to install my converted Kraft set into my own aging Sr Falcon which was built from an original kit many years ago.
I noticed that you had mentioned you scratch built your from original plans which prompts a question on balance point.
The plans show a balance point 4 3/4" behind the leading edge. Mine was somewhat terrifying to fly balanced that far back. It has been flying for many years at 4 1/4" back albeit with a ton of down trim. I have a couple of Reeds controlled flights in so far. Still seems to fly tail heavy but it has survived this way on proportional control for a long time. Seems you can get away with a lot on proportional but Reeds are not so forgiving.
I have come across a build manual for the ARF version which states 3 1/4" to 3 3/4 with 3 1/2" as ideal.
May I ask here did you balance your model at?
I was going to add some lead to the nose to move it to 3 3/4" and try that next.
