Very neat Ron, I like the colour matched brushless motor and contrasting prop

Graphics look nice, are they just vinyl ? (I won't ask if you hand cut them from black tissue and polished them to match )

Overall effect looks very professional, I can see Shaun getting you to do the RCME build/pix !

Look forward to some flying pics, the Pulstar is one of those planes that just looks like it can fly.

Yep, that looks great Ron, but I wish you didn't use the word "crash!" Monday I enjoyed a little flying of my Pageboy and took my Pulstar for a test glide. It nose dived straight to the ground hard The force was enough to rip the motor mount out and fracture the fuselage where the actuator is fixed

I put this down to lack of experience and should have waited for a stronger breeze

Anyhow, not one to give up and be beaten I've since been building a new fuselage. For this one I've gone for very light radio gear with a servo controlling the rudder. Looks like AUW is going to be not much more than 6 ounces, which makes it 2/3 of my original one, and feels so much lighter to handle. I will then build a replacement fuselage to house the Mattel set.

Ron, out of interest what is the AUW weight of yours?

Neil, the RCM&E article is already on the shelves. Graphics care of my mate. These were spare ones I sent to Carl who decided to use tissue ones so he passed them onto Ron.

Carl, from memory mine was just under 6 ozs. Sorry to hear about yours.....

Is this another model that needs a decently fast hand launch a'la Sharkface? Also what rudder throw are you using?
My build has started, fuselage side doublers in, ribs and false L/E glued on lower wing skins

Looks great Ron.

I use lego as a square to keep ribs straight while glue dries & in the pic they are used to keep the TE firm against the sheeting while the glue dries. Pins mark the balsa but the blocks do not. Lego is very handy for building.

I finished sheeting the wing last night & just need to do the wingtips and sand it for covering.

Hi Carl
Mine weighs in at 272 grams or 9.6 ounces but that’s including a 3 cell 450ma lipo and the pixie receiver.

Thanks for the info Ron. My Mattel equipped Pulstar weighed pretty much exactly as yours, so I'll be watching closely how an experienced modeler/pilot flies his. I hope you'll do one of your videos and any launch/flight tips would be great.
