Still plenty of time to build a Pulstar. The plan is in this months RCM&E.. the temp editor for the month couldn't add up and it only mentioned 2 free plans. ( Dave Ashby was on sick leave) but it is there.

I have heard that there will be possibly be some interesting variations appearing a la the Ebeneezer series of models.

Looking forward to what will be turning up.

.....question :?:
How many Pulstars are in the building process? How many "kits" are sold Neil?
Just for the sake of order, I bought five of which two have been built so far

Last week I damaged my Mattel equiped Pulstar with a test glide which divebombed  Since then I've built a second fuselage using lightweight radio gear. Just a couple more little things left to do and it's weighing in at less than 6.5oz (compared to 9.5oz). It's more like how Vic Smeed designed it but with a couple a personal touches.

This time I made the motor mount with the grain going vertically and sandwiched between two 1/16" pieces of ply that are cunningly disguised as the windows ;) Also I moved the location of the front dowel lower as this is where the first fractured.

Shaun encouraged me to repair the first fuselage and I have done this. Where it fractured around the actuator, I now have doublers (should have done this in the first place) and the damaged motor mount removed ready for a new one which I'll make when I have a motor. It's looking good as new :D

So I effectively have two Pulstars for different conditions and experiences :P

I'll look forward to a more successful test glide next opportunity.

That would be commercially sensitive information Tobe, I'd have to speak to my handler Shaun to give out information like that  Shaun makes a 50% cut on each sale - I don't want his wife finding out his extra income :-)
It's definitely more than five 'though - if that helps

21 at the last count - I'm sure there are a lot of folks doing it all with a blunt Swann & Morton 'though !

Cheers

Neil

Very nice. :) Where's the battery bay, and what's the access method to insert / remove the battery?

Gary....As always, cracking job mate.

Martin.. our antipodean friends are well above the curve. I have it on good authority it uses wireless charging - like mobile phones and employs a boomerang GPS module so it can never fly away and can be used to get a spot of hopping lunch for the Barbie 😂

Shaun.

Gary, that's a great colour scheme you've done there - like that very much.

Thanks for the nice comments chaps. There is no hatch, everything fits (just!) inside with access under the wing.
Decoration is gift wrap type tissue doped on in 'aqua' and 'magenta' with black patches under for visibility, background is plain balsa. Wings are two piece for ease of transport and I'm going to pop it in the post and get uncle Shaun to fly it proxy for me at Ponty then hang on to it for when I (eventually) get there.
Sound like a plan?😉
