Fleet Control system conversion

I had this set for a while and decided that the Reftec I converted to 2.4 ghz was such a good experience it was time to get a few more done..
This particular model was only 4 channel, I had an old JR plastic tx which I robbed all the switches ,knobs and pots from and decided to upgrade the Fleet to a 7 channel conversion....
The obligatory and fantastic encoder board from our friend PhilG was used and also Phils method of converting the separate trim pots on the system in parallel with the joystick controls worked very well ..
An orangeRx tx module used again for the RF output and connected up with the usual 8 cell nimh battery, once set up procedure carried out ,and just reversing the negative and positive feed on the throttle pot ,as this caused the alarm to trigger in full throttle position instead of low position, everything worked faultlessly.
I also converted ,but only as a 4 channel, a Kraft system , these were years ago way out of my budget and lucky enough to obtain a couple of sets....
