Someone has spent an awful lot of time and effort building that thing...

Thats a proper lesson in logic design. PCM without a microprocessor, purely cmos logic.
This is a fascinating and unique piece of history, for once I do hope a genuine collector wins it
Personally (and its not like me to say this...) I think it would be a crying shame to break this for parts - its only standard and readily-available 4000 series cmos!

Might have a go at this for the museum collection..

I did stop for two days then Stuart had 6 Skyleaders and I couldn't say no, then I was offered a Skyleader Apex an SLX, TS, a Clubman and a boxed Courier Special 2 and before I knew it, I'd got another 10 Skyleaders. Whoops!!

I was thinking more of the stick units, meter, switches, ... The logic chips aren't worth much money. It looks like someone has already taken the R.F. board out (plus the battery, thankfully).

But I agree the design is worthy of being placed in a museum - perhaps with a replacement R.F. board of the correct original type - so long as that doesn't block the view of the logic boards.

Seeing the pages of technical German from the magazine build article, I feel there may be long and hard WhatsApp conversations occurring between Hertfordshire and Norfolk between in the near future?!?
