Mode Zero

Some of you will know the early part of this little journey . Suffice to say I bought what I thought was a 4 channel outfit turned out to be a two channel from new. The sticks were made to work on both axis having been effectively single axis by modification in the factory from the outset. It now has fleet return springs and these sticks feel very good now. Much lighter in action than my 27mhz Skyleader. With massive thanks to Mike Kitchen who kindly provided me with a 4 channel encoder board which has now replaced the two channel board. A lot of soldering and a bit of twiddling has it up and running . This outfit is fast becoming a favourite

Well done, it's great to see it up and running again without having to convert it. You're probably the first person this century to have upgraded a Skyleader from 2 to 4 channels using Skyleader parts!

As its on 35MHz, are you going to fly with it?

Yes I’m a Skyleader Anorak I reckon! ( probably a brown one with orange go faster stripes like they used to wear in the 1970’s!)
Yes will be flying this radio - it’s my intention to fly town all even on 27mhz - I already do that and not encountered any interference
