Some pics of my converted CitizenShip set. Most were posted on previous forum, but original description has been lost - so just some brief comments (from memory).
The converted TX: original internals: converted internals - the original pcb was cut down and used as a brace for the stick units. Uses a Futaba 4ch encoder from an 'Attack 4' (conversion predates availability of Phil's encoder) and a Frsky module. The original 'reeds' type switch replaced with a conventional toggle to give an on/off function:
