- Serial number of laser cutter
Any takers for a laser cutter?
It’s being replaced in my school because it doesn’t run on the latest version of windows and therefore is deemed to be a security threat.
I’ve cut all sorts of things with it – Depron, perspex, ply, balsa - cuts other stuff, but that’s what I’ve cut
It also comes with an extraction unit as obviously we use it inside
It’s a big beast not sure of the exact floor measurements but must be 5‘ x 3‘.
It comes as it is – The school is not going to take any responsibility of any sort once you take it away. But you are very welcome to have a look and fiddle before committing. We would need to find a mutually agreeable date.
The Location is SE 21 and parking on siteone
It needs to leave by just before the end of August – you would need a van
This is the serial number – I’ll see if I can get a picture of the whole thing if anyone is interested.
If you’ve got space, it certainly worth a sniff

I love how this has a 40 watt CO2 laser on board but the 5 milliwatt laser diode has the biggest warning sticker
It's only a security risk if you connect it to the internet!
It's an easy conversion to run on an Arduino on any operating system you like.

Some more details about the laser cutter.
The machine was never actually connected to the Internet – files came in on an SD card
Schools get routinely held to ransom fairly frequently so risk averse Is the flavour of the decade
Would be great to see it go to someone who would use it – I haven’t any space and not a great looking a kitchen
