Here's is a little project ive been working on, A single channel transmitter using the NRF module and code.
3d printed casing in olive drab PLA, and laser engraved aluminium sanwa label.
The casing is hinged on the side so it's easy to show the innards. Meter is from an old Sanwa propo transmitter.
Powered by an 800ma 2s Lipo. I decided to use the green type prototype board as you can layout the sockets etc exactly where you want them, then just wire it up underneath.

Ron, I think that your rendition of what a single channel Sanwa transmitter would have looked like is superb and great credit to you. Also, thanks for sharing the .stl files.

As I don’t have a 3D printer (as yet) a club colleague has kindly offered to print one for me.

I wonder whether you could confirm the Olive Drab PLA was normal filament or the Matt finish and I’m guessing that “Fuzzy” was selected to achieve the textured case finish.

Graham, make sure you have the meter before printing. Sanwa used at least 2 round ones, both different diameters. Ron's is the larger one so you would need to modify the print for the slightly smaller version.

The PLA is ESUN PLA plus olive green.
Regarding the textured finish. This is achieved by using a textured PEI bed.

For those who are constructing one of these,
Because the Sanwa Custom series meter is difficult to get hold of,
I have made an adapter ring so that a meter from a GC2200/3300 or stac4 series can be used, these meters seem to be more popular and easier to obtain. It's a perfect fit in the original hole so no glue required, or you could just modify the original STL to suit any meter.

I had several goes at printing a case from Ron's files but my printer kept suffering from "layer shift" towards the end of the print. I must stress that it was a problem with my printer, NOT Ron's files! Eventually, Ron took pity on me and printed one for me, AND added the label!

I had a Sanwa meter, albeit the smaller size which need the "Adapter ring", the Button and switch were dug out of the spares box and I also had one of Phil's S/C encoders still waiting for a project. Stuart supplied me with (yet another) Lemon Module, and I present...... The "SANWA Black Custom S/C". (On Blue AND Yellow channels! )
