Here I have converted a few Digimacs. All using FRsky RF modules.
You can go even further and install a RX into the original Ali RX cases for that authentic touch.

My Digimac lineup

Hello Ron your Digimacs look a treat . I have recently acquired another Digimac 1V
The first is an original version with a tiny battery meter and wire wound (I think) pots. The latest has an ‘A’ suffix with ceramic pots - the sticks are really nice on this one. Im Likely to convert the original as the works are very iffy. The later one seems fine and I’m quite prepared to fly on 27mhz - there is nothing round here that I have heard when listening with my ham radio hat on.
I must get to grip with phil’s circuit which is still sitting in an envelope - also a tiny six encoder

The A series were 455khz I.f frequency so used a different set of crystals to the original Digimacs which were 470khz I.f

Also the A series used a blue plastic receiver case where the 470khz versions were blue brushed Ali like the txs.
All great sets to convert of course.

Here is my latest conversion, a Digimac2.
It has proportional rudder and elevator, sequential throttle with selectable midpoint, 75-25% mixer, inactivity buzzer, low voltage alert, provision for a second aileron servo on ch6, servo reverse on all channels, even ch6.
As the heart of it I used a tiny Leonardo Beetle with a separat even more tiny 5V step down regulator, just to try it out. Normally it makes no sense to use it, all other Arduino clones (nano, pro mini, or the new ones) are a lot cheaper, but this one is really tiny, the same size as the Attiny85 board, but a lot more funtions. However they are somewhat tricky to program. But no challenge, no fun. HF comes from an Orange 2.4G module, power supply is a 2s800 lipo. I left all the original stuff inside, the "modern gear" does not need much space.
