Fleet Digi-Fleet XP/FM Conversion

Hi all.
I thought I'd show you where I am with this. I need a bit of help I think.
I have removed the gubbins from the case, cleaned it all up, and I've re-soldered a few dodgy connections and replaced some wires. Nightmare, as I've picked a radio with these pesky separate trims. Can one of you nice people check this for me? I've got 6 wires coming away from the throttle/rudder stick. These are:
Red (obviously)
Black (obviously)
Grey (throttle)
White (throttle trim)
Yellow (rudder)
Yellow (rudder trim).
My aim is to wire it all to a board I'm going to ask Phil nicely for, and have all the bells and whistles on various switches and pots. I can't use the nice twisted servo leads on this like I wanted, as they are too wide to fit through the plastic piece above the rudder pot, and too thick to easily solder onto the tiny tabs on the pots. I really could have picked an easier one than this, but hey ho, so I'll just have to find a way to terminate them in a plug to fit onto the board.

You have electric trims and the issue is addressed in Phil's instructions for the Arduino.

It is as easy as just a simple pot to wire up.
Even Futaba used the very simple method on some of their transmitters.

One issue here is that when you change rates the effectiveness of the trim will change accordingly thus I'm aiming for a variable set up. I just make a little board with trimpot I can access by just removing the back cover. This board gives separate rates both for control as trims
Lot of wires goes in... :?

Anybody want a pile of Digifleet bits?
I just can't be bothered. It's a lot more work than I thought it would be, and I think I will call it a day with this little project. It's not bringing me much joy.

2 XP/FM transmitters in various states of hacked-aboutness. Ally cases, plastic bits, and stick units etc actually pretty good to very good. (I've removed the top lettering on one of the cases though). Circuit boards I wouldn't trust one little bit. Useful stuff for spares or finish the project?

I think i'm going to stick with buttons...

Sounds like an 'interesting' project.

I'm just whizzing out now, I'll PM you later.
