Hi Alastair
If you look to the strip along the page top, you will find a "private messages" tab. clik on that and the relevant page will appear. Outside top Left corner of the box you should then see "compose message"
ucp.php?i=ucp_pm&mode=compose
Remember to select the intended recipient ! Sometimes a PM will not appear to have left your "outbox" That will change once the recipient has actually opened it.
If you still encounter problems, I am sure one of the Moderators will chip in soon.
P.S. The "Search" facility on this Forum (top Right corner of the screen) is a very useful tool
