That's great Phil. I would love to be able to come to Ponty but circumstances won't allow. But I have almost finished building my theme model that I will send to Shaun to fly at the event. So you could get Shaun to pop it in the storage box it'll be in, ready for when Shaun sends it back to me.Phil_G wrote: 13 Mar 2019, 14:36 Yes I sought it out a few years back. Cant remember if its a DVD or an mpg file, but yes I have it Carl.
Are you coming to Ponty, I could hand it over then...

A wonderful bit of film from 1953 - mainly boats. It looked like you needed to be a scientist in the very early days of RC
Not RC but FF jet powered helicopter, airplane and flying wing from 1951
And a couple of large CL 4 engined bombers

Excellent.
The narration style reminded me of this.

I absolutely love the second video about 'red lines'. I sat through so many meetings like this back in the day when I worked for BT. We are all sitting through a national meeting like this with the 'clown world' that is the pretend Brexit negotiations!

This feature from Kempton Park, 1973 has just appeared on the BBC archive on Facebook

What I love is they demonstrate a Skyleader SLX, which is what I still use as my main every day transmitter.
