I’m in a bit of a questionable dilemma

I have this complete setup with servos, receiver and transmitter ..
Is it actually worth saving , I was originally going to convert to 2.4ghz but the tx is massive , the sticks are too long , just plain ugly...
Shall I just out it, or is it collectible albeit one of the square rubber gaiters has slowly degraded back to a sticky mess
Advice welcome

Nothing is ever total scrap. You should see some of the very rough examples I've acquired in the past as spare parts for Phil's and my museum collection in order to restore / repaire them.

You're right re the sticks. You need very long fingers or big hands for it to sit comfortably. It was designed really for tray use and stick pinchers.

This is a very rare Graupner/Grundig Digital TX14 set. It is a collectible item worth to be saved and kept.
The set was very expensive and unreliable when it was new and not many were sold. It was only available for about two years before it was followed by the much better Grundig Varioprop.
But this facts make it very sought after with collectors.
The rubber gaiters are always worn out at this age but can still be purchased on the bay.

I converted mine to 35MHz, which makes it a reliable radio now. You can see it here:

So don´t throw it away it is worth to be collected and maybe converted and used again.
