Mode Zero

Hi there,
Hope you guys can help. As stated in the title,I wish to convert a Futaba 2 ch M series to 2.4 using a FRSKY hack module. Could I :

1, find the ppm output on the existing Futaba board and make the FRSKY connection there and somehow disconnect the rf section or

2 , remove the Futaba board altogether and use a new encoder.

I look forward to your replies, the simpler the better please as this 70+ brain is getting more addled by the day!.

I did exactly what you propose in option 1 and it works perfectly....and I know absolutely nothing.

P.S. mine was a four channel set....someone will surely point it out of that will make a difference.
